Can't get used to the position of the key on the left hand side and also (showing vanity) think the RR key looks a bit dated.

Has anyone explored the idea of aftermarket keyless go and start systems??

Have seen some dodgy looking alarm systems but would like to link a keyless go system to orig RR alarm/ immobiliser system??

Personally I wouldn't touch anything that messes with the car's alarm/immobiliser.

Also to get the kits to work you have to take the transponder out of the key and glue it to the sensor. This means you loose the immobiliser function and your car is infinitely easier to steal. As such I doubt your Ins Co will be happy.

You could investigate installing the newer style key & ignition, I for one would be very interested in this if you figured out how to do it.
