Activating service intervals?

My car does not seem to have activated the on-board service interval "programme".
Can I enable this with the IID-tool? 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

Same problem on our 2006 TDV8.
I asked on here a year ago, but nothing worked.
Lots of high tech systems on the car, but no ability to visibly see how many miles to the next service without using a Diagnostic Tool or calendar ! Paul,

I think my 2011 does, but I always reset it before it is due after doing a DIY service early.

My 2012 does. I don't think it counted down though just popped up with 'Service Required' or similar. It hadn't been reset by the garage who did the full service (read oil change) when I bought it.

My indy wanted £45 plus VAT to reset it but after a lengthy Google I manage to do it myself. Current: FF Westminster money pit

AFAIK you can reset the service interval and when the service is due it pops up on the instrument panel but you can't access the information re time to run to next service.

It is such a variable depending on driving conditions and techniques etc that I would think it is not possible to achieve. John

From 2005 you'll need something like AutoLogic to re-set the service due time. Not sure what year that stopped being relevant. Mine is a 2006 MY and cannot be re-set via secret menu's or similar.

Last time they re-set mine it re-set itself at the beginning of each month i.e. 1st April it told me that the service was due April 2020. 1st May it told me the service was due May 2020. When I picked it up after the most recent work, my indy re-set it and it's back to normal. Says nothing until maybe a couple of months before it's due. I expect a warning of some sort in November to tell me it's due in January. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

Attemptet an interval reset with the IID tool yesterday but just got "procedure failed" or similar. I'll try to do a print-screen when possible. 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway
