The best option i've seen spoken of reccently is to fit uprated LED CAM Error-free bulbs in the reversing lamps, which as a byproduct illuminates where you're reversing to. |

I've seen LED bumper lights that fit in place of the reflectors on Ebay.......you might be limited to red though as they're intended as additional brake lights. |

You can get those in red and white LEDs for stop, tail and reversing. But then you need rear reflectors to be legal

I fitted a 6" led lightbar connected to reverse lights. I was worried it might get snagged when off road but so far no issues, its been underwater a few times too.

My RR backfires and actually ripped one off. I went to go buy the LED bumper lights off of eBay recently and they come in red reflector like you said and also smoked. I didn’t want the LED ability, so I got the smoked reflectors, put them in and didn’t hook them up. I will say for anyone buying them, the wires and glue are real bad quality.. like the glue connecting the wires to the lights needs some reinforcement for the long term. But i’ve Been happy with them for a month now! |

It looks like that light bar could be mounted even higher - perhaps on the opposite side of the armature opposite side to where the tow electrics go 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I was looking at fitting one or perhaps 2 similar lightbars in a similar position as supplementary reversing lights and occasional worklights. Are these the normal ebay 18watt units and were they just wired across the original reversing lights without bringing up lighting alarms or any other problems? If there were problems with that I was thinking of some interface to a towing socket. Anyone tried this? This has become suddenly quite urgent here as we only have about 1" to spare when reversing out between the gateposts and the bulbs have gone in the nearest streetlights. The one I fitted was one from ebay, about A$10 shipped, fully waterproof and plenty of light output. Its wired to the reverse lights with no issue. The reason I put mine in this position was there is already a hole there to fit the mounting bolt.

Thanks, Wayneg. I've ordered a pair. If I don't fit the second one, it will come in handy as a plug-in work light. Old 110 2.3 Petrol ???? - ????
