I've ordered these amps to repair my BM54. Anyone give it a try? Cost $24 USD. Won't be out much if it doesn't and will make the Android install easier.

I repaired the module with the amplifiers that I ordered from china. It was quite good except for a parasitic noise that increased with the engine running.
I solved by placing a capacitor between the module and the 12V power cord.

Thanks. What capacitor and do you mean you ran it between the power source off of the bm54 and the new amps or the power going into the bm54?

I had a bm54 go down in my m5 back then there was no repair and they were expensive so I made a loom (easy) to put a bm24 in and it worked just fine. It lasted a few years and died touched up all the joints with solder and all was good again Current stable:

I've done the amp replacement but haven't installed and tested it yet. This is some tiny cutting of the old printed paths and soldering new wires. Some folks can do magic with a solder iron and make it look easy. Not me. It is tedious work. Lots of flux. I used a flux pen. So glad i invested in a dial adjustable 60w iron and a small bent tip chisel end. The replacement amps had some bad solder joints which I patched. Others have complained of this on these type of cheap Chinese amps. If you do this fix, and I'm not sure it will fix mine, space the amps off the lid when mounting so it will not ground out. I also used some clear packing tape to add insulation. The video must have a great zoom because I needed my magnifying visor and second hand held magnifier to check my work.

The repaired radio box is in. It works but I think the instructions are not correct. Fade and balance don't work correctly. I followed the instruction in the video but had my doubts because how the wires from board in to amp seem to contradict labeling on replacement amps. Audio electronics is not my strong point. Anyone look over the video critically and have a suggestion?

Forgot to mention that the green pin position for the speakers is as if you are viewing it from inside the radio box. It is labeled "front" but I would call it rear. The pins do have numbering on the outside plastic.

OK which ever leads control faded and balance are switched. So my balance is faded control and faded control is balance and right and left is reversed. Other than that the is sounds good again.
