Occasionally when I open my drivers door to get in, the hazard warning lights come on and usually accompanied by the interior front roof light.

These will all stay on till switched off and then normal service is resumed with no other noticeable side effects with the only exception being that the doors don't automatically lock after moving off, after switching off, opening and closing again the autolock works again.

I've plugged in my iid tool and only seem to be getting the usual suspect codes, nothing jumping out at me that might be related.

It's only done it very occasionally over the last few months but did it last Tuesday night after being left locked for a few hours and then again this morning after being left overnight unlocked.

Anyone else seen this?

Is it trying to tell me something?

Some electrical problem? Low Battery? Battery drain?

The battery seems fine and everything else is operating as normal with the exception of my suspension slowly dropping overnight which is an on going issue but probably unrelated.

Any ideas?

Mine has done this several times - mostly after been left unlocked...... haven't got auto locks set so after turning everything off I just drive off as normal. I've just put it down to one of the quirks of a FF ownership lol.

Guess it must think it's been in a crash : lights on and hazards etc - at least it doesn't have the capability of phoning the police (as I'm sure it would!!)

Perhaps a sensor but which one no idea...........

If it persists I'll look into it a bit more but for now I've got other 'jobs' lined up for the fattie....

Same as simon tbh never had any trouble after this as happened so never investigated wish i had my fatty back at least !

Are they standard or can you opt for extras?

They are standard fitting I believe, but they can only be accessed by one of the hidden menus!!

As I said, there are no other side effects so I guess it's just one of those quirks.

I do have an intermittent seat occupancy sensor in the passengers seat that beings on the airbag light when someone sits in occasionally, might be connected but have never noticed a problem with either at the same time.

OOOOH You dont want to be doing that!! Its SAWC (Self-Awareness Chip) will be logging all the kicks and recording all the swear words aimed at it, and like Liam Neeson in 'Taken' - It WILL find you and it WILL get you!!!

To be fair, if it was only allowed one call then it would probably phone your bank before phoning the police.
