Easiest thing in the world is to open the door then unplug the step! Plug is at the front of the step (by the front hinge) |

How about trolley jack off the chassis rail behind the steps? Is that possible/doable/safe/non-damaging? __

OK, tried this myself, not possible unless you have a particular type of trolley jack with a tall pad. The jack's arm fouls on the steps.

All sorted - steps out, bottle jack on front point and an air jack under suspension ... for front
