Unconnected wires in door mirror

Just replaced the door mirror glass that the pillar in My garage door attached, when fitting the new glass I found that there is a pair of wires with a twin push connector in ther with nothing attached to them, the wires are not for the heated glass as I reconnected them to the new mirror also had a look behind the drivers side and it has the same just incase I had popped somthing off without realising so they are not for the heated mirrors and the mirror bottom puddle lights work as well. Anyone know what they might be for?

I believe they are for the electro chromatic tinting so they dim when car headlights are bright behind. The mirror glass is about £80 more expensive, so if the glass gets smashed, many owners don’t bother and get the standard glass.

I had these on a Jeep GC years ago. They simply deal with over-bright headlights in the same was as the interior mirror

Think yourself lucky sir... A 2003/4 electro chromatic glass would have cost you £400 at one point Shocked Shocked Shocked Whistle

So that is how the rear view works. I think I would love this on the driver's side mirror. Just another reason to take it apart and fix the wobble.
