You’re welcome aja Thumbs Up

Looking at that last picture again, I prefer the look of the FF without Privacy Glass. It makes it look much more “Range Rover like” and less like Dad trying to be “down with the kids” (or whatever the phrase is!) Laughing

have PG myself, but for lots of really boring and practical reasons Rolling Eyes

Thanks Red Merle - I know I'm in the minority regarding privacy glass, I'd say at least 90% of FFRR have it. I just think the interior of a Range Rover is a beautiful thing to see, so I prefer not to hide it. Plus I do definitely agree with your statement about some trying to be down with the kids, although those individuals also tend to "Pimp" their cars further with other pieces of tat!

one of the most important styling features, of any Range Rover, has always been its body coloured “floating roof”

Well, apart from pre-'74 Classics, where the D-pillar is body colour.

Not a fan of the new matte paint on the gills etc. Also really do not like ghetto glass.

Personally, I wouldn't ever consider a LWB Rangie. I don't think I've ever been driven in the back of mine.

Also, as I have dogs and guns in the back of mine, drug-dealer glass is a must.

...and I'd have a LWB in a heartbeat if I had the money and didn't need to bother about resale value.

How different we all are.

I also don't like Privaceee Glass, but for those moments when Privacy is essential it's a must, plus I think a RR looks better with it.

I dislike queuing in traffic with the dross staring up at your car. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

It looks really striking, but my personal feeling is that with the extra length, it looses some of the impact of it's height. Also, the extra wheelbase reduces the practicality should you ever need to take her off-road, as your beaching height is lower than with the standard wheelbase. Privacy Glass doesn't really worry me one way or the other. I have it on mine, but I would be just as happy without.

That said, there's no such thing for me as a "bad" Range Rover, I've admired them since i was able to know what a car was, and owning one just makes me love them all the more. Whatever you decide to get, it's going to be stunning and i'll envy you a little bit for being the only person to have owned her.

I'm another for the privacy glass. I think it shows off the lines of the car and it's really useful at stopping prying eyes when you don't want it.

I'm also with RedMerle on the shades of silver but a decent compromise that I think would be undetectable would be to have the SVA grilles which have body colour with 1 CM pencil lines of Silver on each gill. Thumbs Up 2016 SDV8 Autobiography
And several others previously.

From an aesthetic perspective, I can’t see how there’s an argument in favour of (legal) tinted glass - the contrast between clear front and dark rear windows just awkwardly splits the greenhouse and makes them look like VAT-dodge vans.

I'm also with Trommel on this one..... While Privacy Glass does serve a purpose in the rear, it offers no real privacy to the driver nor front passenger, as the front windows are still clear.

That said, myself and Trommel are massively in the minority on this preference - Your lucky if you can find one in ten used FFRR's without privacy glass, and the reason for this is because more than 90% of people prefer it!

Still, it's not for me...... Although as someone else mentioned earlier, it wouldn't do for all of us to think the same way!

I did see that on the SVA grilles and thought it looked good - I don't think the factory like to deviate away from standard spec though at time of build - Have you heard of the factory carrying out bespoke changes, or are you thinking post delivery?
