Can anyone tell me how to discover what version/year my Sat Nav is? I have just paid for an update and cannot see any improvements and know the road I am on has been around for the past couple of years but still not shown on the screen - have I been robbed?

on the 2012 you select map change and it tells you there...it wil be something like 20140912, the first four digits denote the year.. ... - .- -.

Thanks Stan - I can't find anything that says 'map change' - my car is 2013 model - is this the problem?

Did anyone get anywhere with this ?

I know the LR satnav is crap but I would at least like to know what version of crap mine is running and thus if I can get an update.

Nowhere in the nav system can I find a version/release or date number - So I don't want the main stealer to rip me off. (not that they ever would of course..... )

You’ll have to buy it from them anyway - It’s VIN locked on an L405 so no alternative sources - so might as well ask them how to check - it’s only a phone call

yeah - I know its VIN locked - my concern was that unless I see some demonstrable way how else would they prove it is an update. - Sorry I don't trust main stealers one little bit - I'm sure they would quite happily take a few hundred quid off me regardless.

My guess is if I call them - they will just say "bring it in and we will check for you sir. "....without actually presenting any evidence.

My old L322 you could find it in settings but there’s nothing in a L405
