alright it is a jag and not a range rover but it still is a car, missus is happy as we are not driving hers all the time, so big brownie points for me, well at least for the next few weeks until i do something else wrong. LOL

Rang the dealer to see if the had arrived like it was supposed to do yesterday but no reply.

I spoke to someone at Guy Salmon on Friday to see when they are getting a demo model in so i could actually see it and she said they had heard there were issues with the new model and land rover won't release until it is all sorted.

I'm not sure about there being issues stillrunning...... I think she's lying (as I'm sure you know only too well, these people always do!)

I was at the factory back in November and saw literally hundreds of 18MY FFRR both coming off the production line and being stored around the site (all for export from what I understand - Don't know why the UK is last to receive stock!). They're churning literally hundreds out everyday (maximum production of cars at Solihull is 1,200 per day!)

Anyway as you say, there's no great hurry if they've loaned you a car..... If I was you, if it's not here in the next two weeks, I'd want a March 18 registration rather than a 67

I’d get CRC involved. I think your dealer may be lying to you about delivery dates. I don’t believe there are any issues with infotainment as this would be stopping global delivery of Sales and there are plenty being exported for release.

I ordered a 2018 RR in March 2017 for October 2017 delivery. Obviously this did not work. As my BMW had to go in October they rented me a Discovery Sport since then. The small diesel engine with 150 hp is not fun and the infotainment is extremely dated. The navigation did not find a city nearby either by name or postal code and traffic news are not hepful at all. I now use the iphone with google maps for navigation. I hope the FFRR is much better (it is 3 times more expensive, so it should). At least the test drive in a 2016 MY last year was quite promising an reason to roder the car.
One month ago I was informed that the car will arrive at the dealer on Februrary 14th. I hope this will work. I have no SVO special order colour. Now the 2018 manuals are online. I saw that the car still has a TV function, but it is unclear whether it can receive digital TV (analog TV was stopped last year in Germany). The 2017 did not receive digital TV, but most other cars (Mercedes, Audi, BMW..) do now. Would be nice for the ikds (I ordered RSE). Does anyone know about the digital TV in the 2018?

Spoke too soon! Been told my SVA has been moved back EIGHT WEEKS. No details given but I trust my dealer when they say they have no info at the moment. Apparently it’s happened to all their cars...

Anybody else got any info?

As you say there are plenty of cars being exported out across the world but are any of them actually on the road?
I have seen Land Rovers Order Form and it clearly states 2nd February to Dealer out to me on the 9th. a full five weeks from the original date
I have e-mailled them and have said i now want a 2018 registered car.

Wouldn’t imagine your dealer would have a problem with your request.

My dealer said up front that if my car came in late Jan ( always unlikely) or Feb they would recommend it not being registered until March. I pointed out that my private plate was going on it so I wasn’t bothered about the latest registration number - but they pointed out when it comes to resale down the line, the more up to date 2018 number would be worth more...so my plan was alway March even if it arrived in Feb..

I imagine it’s going to be down to where they are against target for the quarter, it may make a big difference to them and I’m pretty sure they’d like the money in the bank. There’s also the loan car to consider.

I have each one when the date delivery date is changed.
Not heard back from them as yet.
I can only imagine plenty of sales pressure from Dealers about getting the cars out, this must be killing there turnover and cash flow.

We have had confirmation that our showroom car has been released and into market distribution this afternoon so that may release your car.
