headlight flat beam

here's a thought, if you change the headlight beam to europe would this now be a flat beam like the newer L405's have....
will there be any light degradation... ... - .- -.

Telepathic!

I too - would love to know the answer to this as about to drive back across Europe to Transylvania! And is it as easy to do as the owners manual says? A week and counting before I pick the Westie up and head straight to the ferry! Series 2a LWB Hardtop - ex British Aerospace that was then used in an armed robbery! not by me!

It is as easy to do as the manual says.

I have mine permanently on "continental" setting and I find no degradation of the light. All it does, as said, is flatten the beam.

Incidentally, it has been sufficient for the French Control Technique (MoT) John

It is truly easy to do
38 second job
I timed it
To do both headlights
And put the bonnet back down

Yep - I did this on my D3 a few years back, and the levers then stuck in the 'continental' position! Shocked

Plenty of light output and was never a problem for ensuing MOTs ... Regards,
Mick
