Another new RR owner saying hello!

Hello everyone,

Just come across this forum having done a search on google. I am the proud owner of a 2002 Vogue 3.0d in Silver. Picking it up on Saturday and we can't wait!

Welcome aboard noddy,

Good to see another FFRR owner on here - strength in numbers eh! Hope you enjoy the forum as a valuable source of info, very handy. Not been on long either but enjoying.

You'll have to post pics of the new pride & joy on taking delivery - I'm sure the guys will want to see also.

Hang loose,

Dan. Mr. Green

Thanks. I will post pics as soon as I get chance.

I've paid £11,700 for it- it's a 2002 Vogue in Zambezi Silver, 82k with Oxford navy Leather and cream piping, finished off with Cherry wood. I presume all the bells and whistles are standard on a Vogue - Satnav, sunroof, Hill Descent etc in which case, I won't go into detail on what it's got. Bought it from a small garage and he's put 12 months MOT and tax on it, plus 3 months engine gearbox & diff warranty.

I won't describe it as immaculate at this stage as I'm quite anal about cars. I'd say it was very good condition. It's got a few small stone chips to the bonnet front and lower bumper and a couple of faint laquer scratches to the bodywork, which will come out with a bit of 1500 wet and dry and to be expected on a 7yr old car. So, in a few weeks, it should be to my standards! Very Happy

I love the interior and how it drives. I was considering an X5, having owned 3 BMW's since 1999. I've just sold a 323i convertible to make way for this latest purchase.

A few people are already putting me off the car, saying they are thirsty. My 323i only did about 21 around town and was doing 35 on the motorway yesterday, so I think it's not going to make much difference to me.

Hi Noddy & welcolme

You should get around early 20s around town and late 20s on longer motorway runs so dont be put off by what people say it isnt bad. Thumbs Up

Welcome Noddy,

Nice choice! IMO, the only thing wrong with the earlier Vogue TD6 model was the alloys. If you fancy a cheap update, look out for the newer alloys on ebay. By the time i sold off my old alloys, my new alloys and tyres cost me £150! Discovery 4 HSE

YEah, I was thinking the same thing, but when I went to look at the car, the alloys were in mint condition and didn't look too bad "in the flesh" so to speak. I would like a bigger set though in time but for now, these will have to do!

Granted they are thirsty , but nobody buys a FFRR if they are concerned about the MPG , plus the people that are putting you off have probably only smelt the fumes from a FFRR's exhaust , they are talking out their arse F Censored em Exclamation Thumbs Up

Meant to say welcome to the forum Thumbs Up
