its a diesel and was running low so off to the station I go only to be unable to fill it because there is a small yellow flap blocking the spout, so I RTFM to discover someone has tried to miss fuel it with unleaded and the satey feature has closed the flap, no problem I just need to find the reset tool, 10 mins of searching and I find it only to discover someone has snapped of the teeth of the tool 
so tomorrow I have to go to the nearest dealer to get a new tool and then fill up without running out of fuel

if its a rental, surely they have the responsibility to sort it for you.. |

Yes the FF has the same tool. Luckily Ive not had to use it yet. Discovery 4 HSE

All TDv8 FFRR's have had that since launch, but RRS TDv8 and TDv6 RRS and D3 never got it |

Quick trip to Farnell this morning and the parts department dont have any of the reset tools in stock |

Rather happy to hear that the FFRRs have this system. I've been thinking about a 4.4TDV8 and it would be my first diesel (the wife's car is a diesel but I rarely drive it). I was worried that I'd almost certainly put petrol in it at some stage. |

It's a yellow tool about 8" long with a couple of hooks at the end to hook into the top of the fuel filler neck. Mine was in the glovebox but the manual says in the luggage compartment (boot ?) 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB Gone 2011 Bournville TDV8 VSE Gone 2008 Black Canadian HSE LUX |

My Uk car has it, and its also activated ! Takes FOOKIN ages to fill it u(i i remember) and has been i to the dealer twice to be fixed !
