2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Buckingham Blue

AUX input on TV ?

My vehicle is a 2002, when scanning the channels I get an AUX selection, does anyone know where this aux input is?

Maybe I can put a dvd player on it or a digibox for digital TV.

Thanks for any advise

You can upgrade your TV module to be Digital...

The Aux input is S-Vid which in itself isn't so bad - however the audio input is Mono - so not really suited for DVD players etc.

A better use of the Video input is a reversing camera - a relatively easy mod, quite cool as it automatically switches over when you select reverse gear.

in the boot..

@DAN...when selecting reverse does the screen have to be on nav or does it change when on radio..

ooooh dear,

scarey, there are lot's of connections in the boot, I just need to know what ones I need to connect to, if someone can help.

Short of someone actually coming round to your house and doing it for you, I think you're kinda there...

As Scary said, the connection is in the boot, on the left hand side. As I said, it is a yellow S-Vid/Composite plug.

You should download a copy of the Workshop Manual - this will provide you with all the tech info, as well as locations of things for reference.

You first have to add the automagic

You either buy a kit with the cam/relay/harness for around GBP150 or you buy an NTSC cam on ebay for GBP25 and a relay from an auto parts store for GBP5 and make your harness. This cam works very well in a RR, BTW, although you do have to file a little metal inside the number-plate light slot .

The cam is wired into the TV module:

Pins 13 and 14 on the white plug are vid in. Pin 17 on the blue plug needs ground to switch, so what you do is this:

The coil in the relay is energized by the reverse light (pins 85 and 86 on the relay) and closes the contacts (pins 30 and 87) switching ground to the vid module. You can add the manual switch to gnd like this guy has too. That way you can see if someone is following much too closely. Or watch as you're being rear-ended at a traffic light. Or add another relay and switch between vid sources (such as a DVD player). Or...

Female connectors are avail for little money at BMW. I posted the PN a few weeks ago - I'll leave that as your search job.
