Or disconnect the props at the UJ's as they enter the diffs and let the handbrake off and it will roll, put it on a flat bed then take it to the dealers. 2004 4.4V8 Vogue

I would think best thing to do would be call breakdown company let them.grt it to dealers, already wasted £200 on non functioning key

I've just ordered a new key from Land Rover. It came ready cut and programmed to my car. Just had to add it to the memory with the coding process as in my other post in here. Don't think he would need an original key to follow this process. RR History

He did try the dealer and they said they wanted the vehicle taken to them.

If he needs to move the car in the meantime just lift the leather gaiter for the gear lever off and there is a mechanical override for the park brake under there but I can't see why it has to go to the stealers in the first place. 2008 MY Supercharged

Ok, bit of an update- got a quote from Dan at £148 but key will still need to be programmed by a specialist or car taken to dealer.

As far as I know, the key needs to be paired to the car.

good to know that his pain will benefit us all in the long run , I always thought a dealer sourced key would work form the get go but clearly not |
