Hi Guys,

Might be a bit of a dumb question, searched around a bit and can't find a definitive answer.

Has anyone got any idea how you get the rear windscreen wiper to go into some sort of service mode so I can clean it and possibly at one point in the near future change the blade?

I've seen some suggestions of opening the boot to stop it but I don't see how that would work if you're trying to wash the rear windscreen and wipe with water, etc.

1- turn the ignition on
2- turn ignition off. as its going off hold the right stalk down in the single wipe position
3- while still holding the stalk down turn the ignition back on front and rear wipers will move to the "service" position

leave the key in the car while you change the blades then turn the ignition off to reset them.

I'd watch out for the battery time-out though. if the ignition goes off they will probably return to their normal positions and if you've left them off the window then they are going to hit your bonnet.

personally I'd use winter park for the fronts as i can turn the ignition off and there's no danger of them moving and this if i ever need to do the rear although it would be nice to be able to clean up there once in a while.

I just open the boot - you have to time it, but as soon as you start to open it, the wiper stops, then stop the boot part way up and change the wiper.

Yeah I wanted to wash the wipers as well and I didn't want to start throwing water about with the tailgate open.

Will try this at one point tomorrow !

If you just want to wash it , then on intermittent, it stays stationary and exposed for long enough......

1. Start the rear wiper
2. Open the upper tailgate - wiper will stop
3. Turn ignition off
4. Lower the tailgate
5. clean/change wiper

Or am I missing something ?

Will give that a try too see if it works !

Sometimes when the ignition is off the fronts tuck themselves away but will see if the rear does it !
