Thanks, do you know where the unit that controls the touch screen is located?

Not quite :
1. TV tuner
2. Logic 7 (I think )
3. TMC module ( for sat nav )
4. Nokia phone module
5. ?
6. ?
And the touch screen controller is behind the touch screen on TD6 or petrol of that era and behind the glove box on later proper face lift models i.e. TDV8's.
5 & 6 are some thing to do with arial if I remember right. 2008 MY Supercharged
Rimini Red / Jet
four zone climate
remote park heater
and no ugly kid windows.

5 & 6 are both types of TV amplifiers. 6 i believe has a dual function to act as the telestart receiver for the auxiliary heater (mine has this but no aux heater?!?).

Yes 1 is the TV Tuner

2 is definitely the audio amplifier for the Logic 7 system 06MY 4.4 V8 Autobiography Cairns Blue with Navy & Parchment Interior

Axle is well close enough to get the cigar Bow down

However i just happen to be currently retro fitting this little lot to an earlier L322 and so am a little more intimate than anyone would or perhaps ever should ever be Thumbs Up

In any event i am happy to share with anyone interested what i know about the depicted ECU's. Thumbs Up

Item 1 is indeed the TV Tuner unit, costing around 800 Quid, this was optionally fitted from 2005 to 2009. 2010 on got a slightly smaller unit with built in electronic programming Guide. I happen to own an example of both. The brown and green connectors visible in this picture are coaxial feeds to its 4 Antennea Amplifiers, that then connect to the actual Antenneas, 2 on each quarter glass. the others going from left to right are MOST fibre optic in and out and Power /Ground feeds. You can follow the Whitish MOST connections going from unit to unit in a loop fashion.

Item 5 is one of the 4 TV Antennea Amps costing about 60 quid each.

Item 2 is indeed the Audio Amplifier. It is incorrect to say it will always be a Logic 7 as from the picture you cannot tell if it is the black faced Logic 7 600 Watt 105 or later 240 Amp with 14 speakers including Sub woofer or the silver faced lower spec 300 Watt 11 speaker 085 Amp. You cannot even tell from the Sub Woofer box in the RHS of the picture as they are identical with the exception that the logic 7 version has a built in Sub woofer Amp. It's all down to the SPDIF connectivity used only for the DVD changer.

Item 3 is indeed the TMC unit fitted only in European markets and substituted with the VICS in Japan.

Item 4 is the Nokia Blue tooth phone module, replaced in 09 by a much better unit from another company that costs a whole lot less. It is possible to retro program this unit with flash content to get Phone book over blue tooth working, even although a dealer can't.

Item 6 is the AM/ FM diversity Antennea Amp that has remained unchanged from day 1 of the L322's introduction. On this shot you can not only see its Coax feed slinking away behind the Sub woofer to the Radio / IHU unit, but just crossing the white power feed wire you can see the coax coming from it and going up towards the tailgate where teh second amp is located that gives true Antennea diversity capability.

BTW you are missing the DVD changer that should be fitted in the big hole under the Navi unit in the 15 quid bracket and the RSE unit that is fitted on the 5 quid plate holding the TV tuner in place. Thumbs Up

Interesting though the tour of the LHS luggage compartment ECU's was / is, none of these has sod all to do with the TSD.

It's functionality and capability is controlled by the CCF in either the Gateway ECU or Ipack depending on year. 2003 4.4 HSE

Thanks for the comprehensive tour. I was hoping one of the units was some kind of touch screen controller as I am trying to diagnose a perceived power supply problem to my TSD which may have been easier if the controller was in this easy to get-to area.

BTW vehicle is an early 2005
