I've had my 2002 V8 4.4 for over 6 years.

It still has the same battery fitted after all that time and i have no idea how old the battery was when i bought it.

Just thought i'd mention it as i read of batteries failing after just a couple of years.

Yes, they are not all bad, on my 2004 4.4 the original battery lasted 7 1/2 years. By contrast my 2012 4.4 TDV8 is on its third at almost 5 yrs. Only Range Rovers since 1988

My rule of thumb is that after 5 years your on borrowed time, so after that, at the first hint of a problem, I replace them

2002 must have been a good year then!!! .... my 2002 TD6 HSE had the original battery in when i sold it in 2012!!
