I drove along the Mosel via Berncastle to the Rhine then down to Baden Baden and Triberg a couple of years ago.
It was my last trip in my Td6 and very enjoyable. The waterfalls were spectacular, but it was May, so winter snows still melting giving high flows. Enjoy!!! G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

Cafe Konig in Lichtentaler Strauss is well recommended. Take plenty of cash though, I was lucky enough to do all my calls there on expenses

It was well worth the visit.

I stayed in Baden Baden a few years ago.

I was coming back from the UK and stopped at a service station in France. I threw some rubbish away and then used the toilet. When I got back to the car I realised I'd thrown the car key with the rubbish.

It was this bin. I had to climb into it to get it out, and the bin was much deeper than the ground. The looks I got from my fellow motorists.



Fortunately I found the key.

I then drove to the quite nice hotel in Baden Baden and walked up to the reception pretty filthy and stinking like a tramp.
