Suppose the next question is how I get the oil out if it is too full ?, although it does say it is ok ?????

if the oil level is above max. line i would take 1/2 l of oil out. easiest way is by vacuum pump.

the way i established "cold" engine oil level was by checking oil level with engine at working temperature ( 30 miles run) and than checking in the morning.

if the oil level is one notch below max when hot it is gonna be at the center or one notch above when cold. it is easier and more convenient to check oil level with cold engine.

The gauge is remarkably sensitive. If the display screen shows the level at the top of the permitted range I would just leave it and monitor occasionally, if the car is using lots of oil it would be worth checking why, mine has never needed to be topped up in over 50,000 miles, it's not like say a 200 series Land Cruiser. If the car is showing the oil above the permitted range when the car is cold and on level ground it might be worth getting a workshop you trust/dealer to extract some. Only Range Rovers since 1988
