Is it possible to fit retro fit privacy glass rather than tint? |

That's what I thought, I have seen a potential vehicle to purchase but it doesn't have privacy glass, I am wondering if tinting is an option or will it look cheap and tacky. |

when purchasing mine it didnt have dark glass so the dealer agreed to tint them and it looks ok, but you need to take care and not scratch the film with stuff you carry..

I think the cost of new glass and the fitting would make it uneconomical and add little to no value to the car.

I was thinking of used rear glass and have the rear window only tinted |

Wouldn't bother. Even used glass and fitting plus tinting the rear glass only would be more than just tinting all of the rear glass.

It would look the same, I would use genuine lr tinted glass on passenger doors and have tailgate tinted |

Aftermarket tints show all the heating elements, get damaged very easily, and look pants. I bought a D3 which had this and I had it removed. A complete set of genuine glass for the D3 (rear doors, rear quarters and tailgate) was just shy of 1400 quid from a dealer I used to use. Autoglass chappie charged me 200 quid to fit as a private job.

My new to me one doesn't have tints. As I have no ugly kids I will leave it as it is. |
