We have had our 2004 td6 for about 7 months and really like it. But now i am liking the look of the facelift 2006> tdv8.
Am i mad wanting to swap as i have just about got our td6 sorted i.e all new front upper and lower arms , new tie rods , new drive shafts , gearbox flush + front and rear diffs , new rear wiper motor , full service , remove egr valve etc

Reasons i want to swap are -
I would like cooled seats
6 speed gearbox
newer interior trim + exterior
v8 power
Is it worth my while swapping or should i stick with the td6 ?

Each has there Achilles heel. Tranny on td6 and turbo/EGR on tdv8.

Recently, briefly, drove a 2007 TDV8 for the first time.

It was as I expected, a lot more shove, a lot more refined.

Couldn't give a about the looks, and if anything I prefer the earlier cars for looks. The V8 interior was nicer though.

Just changed from Td6 to 3.6 TDv8. Really liked the Td6 but the Tdv8 is a long way ahead for performance and refinement. John

I don't think the seats are as comfortable in mine though, compared to my TD6. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

As someone who thinks diseasels are the AntiChrist and belong in the land of coal and Fred Dibnah, TDV8 is by far LIGHT YEARS ahead of the TD6.. Driven both and would go for the SC every time. sorry TDV8!!  Tony
