Brake calipers... Age or me?

To cut a long story short, one of my Mother failures in May was the front passenger side caliper was sticking, no bother I replaced it... A few days / weeks later the drivers side was getting hot, have now replaced that.

Now it's the drivers side rear doing the same, so I guess I'm going to have to do that too. Is it a case of changing one affects the others or am I just being unlucky?

Doing the two fronts and changing the rear toe links has already given me an extra 3mpg so I'm thinking they've been dodgy for a while and I haven't noticed!

It's a 2002 Td6 just wondering if anyone had any input?

They are are all of a similar age and design it's probably just that they need doing, on my tdv8 one rear went and a couple of months later the other went too, so i suspect when it's time for them to go they will all start to need doing. Can't think doing one would affect any of the others unless they were on the way out. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

i had one of the front brake on mine couple years ago started sticking, i replaced both front with brembo upgrade from newer models.

been fine since.

if you have one going wrong may aswell do both sides as there all the same age it can just happen same kind of time so i dont think your unlucky just a age related issue. 2003 Range Rover 4.4 Litre V8 - Adriatic blue

Thanks guys - pretty much confirmed my thoughts.

There is nothing to suggest they aren't the original callipers, so i will take it that they are and it's time they are replaced.

3rd going on tomorrow, 4th to follow!
