Drove into work this morning and put foot flat on floor and used kick down, car didn't want to go above 90 and when it got there, I heard a whistling noise (almost like a blow-off valve) from behind the glovebox and no more acceleration.

Just used one of the guys fault readers at work and no faults in the car at all. Not to say that this is correct as it may not pick them up.

I have already had mine replaced at LR nearly two years ago so would have hoped that as it has been replaced it would be wired correctly.

@ Zarnd - don't count on it. I had to tell the "Tech" that he was trying to put the MAF on UPSIDE DOWN!! |

Running out of fuel generally will cause a lack of performance |

I spoke to local LR dealer and told her what the car was, gave the registration number and said it was supercharged.

I have a video below. I can't go above 70mph now and get a constant hissing noise under WOT. A quick peek under the bonnet doesn't reveal anything.

When you say above 70mph I assume that is in top so is it a rev limiting problem or a final drive problem ? |

I would say rev limiting rather than driveline issue Alex

It sounds like a bearing noise. ______________________________

It seems more like the sound of air in the intake. Will try and pop the engine cover off and hopefully find a failed hose.

Took the engine cover off yesterday at work and checked all visible hoses and pipes, all seem ok. Next step today or tomorrow is to take out an exhaust sensor and check the cats to see if one has broken up.
