Auto trader has the largest amount of cars for sale . Although if I'm spending less than 50p on a car then there's always Gumtree . |

Auto trader, never look on piston heads. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I personally would only buy from ebay and autotrader. I like ebay as a genuine private seller puts some time and effort into the advert and you can get an idea from the background of the pics what the seller is like - nice house in a nice neighbourhood and other cars in the pics etc, I also google the mobile number and see if it appears in adverts for other cars and then I start looking at the history of the car with MOT's etc. I also look at the ebay feedback to see if they have been buying things like head gasket sealant or 2nd hand brake pads lol - I like to research the car and the seller, doesn't always bring results but I have discounted some cars I was going to buy before I have even called the seller.

My last four car purchases have been through Autotrader, Pistonheads, Car and Classic and Mobile.de.

Agree with Belldar, the background picture can indicate quite a lot...
