Sounds like the turbo hose has come off. Same happened to me on a RRS after it had been in for a recall which involved replacing the hose. The garage hadn't tightened up the hose sufficiently so it was pushed off under acceleration hence the whooshing sound and restricted performance. |

The 4 short rubber hoses have been modified since 2013 because the originals are prone to splitting.

Thanks Peanutbob, ill try and locate it, although looking at the engine bay there doesnt seem a lot you can get at very easily... |

Problem solved thankfully, it was the turbo boost pipe that had come off or blown off.
