Tdv8 cooling system

Does anyone have any info on the above like a schematic or picture of the back of the engine as I have a leak coming from the back of the engine that's running down both sides of the gearbox bell housing I can see up to back of the heads and can't see any signs of it so I'm assuming it's something lower down in the valley, I can't see anything at all from the top but then even if it was leaking at the front of the valley and running back I doubt I'd see it lol, it's loosing about a litre per 2 weeks so not much, I will admit this is for my rrs but you guys seem to be more hands on, that said I will probably have to take the body off to fix it Big Cry

Yes that's perfect, it must be from somewhere in those connections right at the back, I was a little worried what it might be but after seeing that it could be as simple as loose pipe clip especially as they are probably the squeeze together ones, now I've just got to figure the best way to get in there, I have been toying with the idea of lifting the body to do a few other jobs but I don't like having a water leak so I suppose it's either the inlet manifold or the gearbox out.

Yeah it's actually a really good one but I still couldn't find it (not that good then), I got myself a coolant pressure testing kit since so it might be worth me trying again with it under pressure Thumbs Up

Unless it's a sport you can't left the body.

You could take out the housing for the pollen filter. Just 2 bolts on the firewall left and right of the motor. I've never done it but Atlantic British do a vid on servicing a 4.2SC where they take out the housing just to remove the engine cover.

That will give you more access to the top of the motor. ______________________________

yup - 2 bolts and the pollen filter comes out giving loads more space around the rear area.

and as above, its a requirement just to get the engine cover off on the supercharged... annoying. V8 or else ...
