Nice, but is this really an Autobiography?

You can buy the badge for £15

Great interior photos, looks unmarked.Overpriced IMHO though.... .

It's possible, but unlikely.

In 2003 if you ordered something special then it was considered an AB - my mate had one and wanted a black interior, so it came as an AB even though it was a lower spec than my Vogue.

However, the badge on the back is wrong for the year, and the rear bumper and wheels are off a newer car, the rear lights and front grill are aftermarket iterms etc.

Deffo not! It only has one switch on the rear vent panel I.e no heated rear seats. Plus no AB foot plates. 👎

Autobiography was not a model in its own rite at that time. You just had AB options you could order from on the "standard" car. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

mjdronfield - I beg to differ, as dolphinboy will attest. He now owns my 2003 Autobiography. 125 were made.

That POS above though is an HSE or SE rebadged with a tasteless grille.

I especially like the 5" metal Autobiography badge on the dash - that's where the airbag comes out at 300mph...

And don't even get me started on the plastic caps over the calipers! Censored

Interesting - I'd go with mjdronfiled - when we ordered our first FFRR's my mate insisted on a black interior, so it was done for him on the Autobiography program - and it came as an AB on the V5 and badged AB - but it has less kit than I spec'd on my Vogue. I was happy to settle a charcoal interior.

There was no Vogue SE and no AB model as such. There were a bunch of regular options - then an extended set of AB options, but IIRC they were things like interior colours & additional paint colours.

I don't dispute that there may have been 125 AB's - but I'd agree that they weren't a model as such.

In later years they introduced them, but they were just bundled options packs - you could in theory spec everything to a Vogue - though I'm not sure that's still true - but you can spec a Vogue higher than a VSE and you can spec everything onto a VSE that you'd get with an AB

We're both right Laughing

Here's an article from 2003 - saying that spec'ing RSE would make it an AB......

And another from late 2003 about a run of 125 called the Autobiography Edition -

They left the factory with a "Special Vehicles" build plate and an AB badge on the back. The AB had a 2003 Brochure from LR:

The 2003 Autobiography models were something really special - so few left that haven't been butchered.

Yep - you've confirmed we are both right - the 125 run of Autobiography Edition were black or silver - so the red one with the bespoke leather interior is an Autobiography program vehicle - which is a standard Vogue with something a la carte.

1st run of autobiography?

Hi guys been reading the thread, I have a 2003 autobiography V8 in Juniper Blue, I am wondering is it from the 1st type on the L322, before they did the run of 125 autobiographies with the black dash trims?
Mine has the optional overmats, the rear dvds, security glass, colour coded wing vents etc, also has the very important build plate under the bonnet.
Any information would be great thanks.
Someone has put a new trim over the two tone steering wheel which I will be removing at the weekend.
Also has non standard exhausts, which are not really to my taste but do make it sound awesome!
I have the original dealership sales invoice which shows the car was originally a silver Vogue, and the costs of the options.
