yeah its fairly easy but the joy is short lived when you need to access the drain plug at the bottom.. Although not ideal (as the oil goes everywhere) if you put a plastic sheet or in my case I had some Ikea left over cardboard which caught the oil spill.. I then use the brake cleaner spray to remove the oil from the sub frame.

With tools you always get what you paid for. I suspect £3.00 for a socket that big is not going to be a quality product!.

its designed to have the oil sucked out, I know that the pop on oil drain tube is a convenient place to drain it and if you haven't got suction then thats the best plan, but there is no difference if you suck it out on this engine as the other end of the pop on tube is the suction point so it drains it from the same place!

Certainly worth not skimping if you use them often enough and have a big impact hammer like moi. Used one cheap socket once and simply peeled apart like a banana. Ed |
