What a F*****G Liberty

Robbin F*****G C***S !ç

Went to the parts shop today to get some pads, front and rear for the FF. Land rover part only in Spain ! Every car i have had is the same over here, main dealer only.

Get this,

Front and Rear pads WITHOUT sensors €365 + IVA Supply only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Land Rover Garstang 150 puund including sensors and Vat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand a bit of import tax etc but come on !!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway can anyone recomend a different source for me ? Maybe non land rover ?

Also as my light is not on do i NEED the sensors or can they just be swaped from the old set ? 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE

Not sure on the 07, but on the pre 06 you don't need to replace the sensors if they have not been triggered.

Why would you not just order your parts mail order? Either from a co like http://www.island-4x4.co.uk/ or just eBay?

I've used the britpart and mintex pads in the past on my 03. I've also used the sports discs (drilled, vented & grooved)

The cheaper pads tend to wear a little quicker - however this results in your discs lasting longer so this evens out in terms of cost.

Click on Dan's link.
Click on "Range Rover 02-"
Click on "Brakes"

Then one of the options should be this:

Quote:
Front Brake Pad Set 3.6 V8 & 4.2 SC SFP500070 M
New Mintex set of front brake pads for 3.6 V8 TD & 4.2 V8 petrol supercharged Range Rover L322 models (models with Brembo brakes).

Part Number: SFP500070 M

£34.99 Inc. Vat

By the way, wear sensors are available seperately, on the same page.

If they are not included, they'll only be about £10. It seems crazy not to put new ones on for the cost.
That's less than 10% of a tank of fuel over here!

No, I can't either Laughing

Which is why I said "If they are not included"
They only list front 02-05, and rears for 02-05 and 06 onwards.

Phone call time ?

If you want genuine parts, try Lookers Park Royal, mention the site and you should get a good parts discount.

No Brainer, this one.
Contact Nick and Yeovil Land rover- 20% on parts.
I elected not to take sensors and as predicted, it disintegrated as it came off.
Nick sends parts all over.
Best of luck.
