this is my air change-over valve . is this "new" or "old" style? i did apply vacuum and it moves.

Well I've had a look around whilst servicing the FF today and I have as far as I am aware 3 old style manifold rubbers and 1 new one (pictures refer) and I have the older nut type air change valve.

My change over valve was replaced by M D, but technical Bulletin says 1.1 hours work.

How do you make this actuate? I don't quite understand what this is for?
