I am not convinced that mine was actually split.
3 ports were spotlessly clean, and one was sooty black.
It could have just been loose ?, but the MDjust said we will replace them, so I didn't argue. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

this is my air change-over valve . is this "new" or "old" style? i did apply vacuum and it moves.

Took picture of hoses whilst out "messing" cleaning my MAP sensor.

No ridges, but if you look at the picture of the removed manifold on the MAP thread, you can clearly see the ridge on the original.

Definitely different from mine.

They seem to have changed them from simple rubber items to something more akin to the reinforced turbo hoses. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Well I've had a look around whilst servicing the FF today and I have as far as I am aware 3 old style manifold rubbers and 1 new one (pictures refer) and I have the older nut type air change valve.

What exactly does this do and how hard would it be to change, anyone done it?

My change over valve was replaced by M D, but technical Bulletin says 1.1 hours work.
You have to remove the plastic tray from under the engine and access it from underneath, so jacking up front end and axel stands required. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

How do you make this actuate? I don't quite understand what this is for?

I'm just going to give things a day or two to see how I get on and whether the restricted performance comes back. All the manifold rubbers seem ok. Just want to see the valve actuate.

Need to clear my DPF fault first. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE
