Another issue to contend with...

Whilst the car was parked up yesterday at work my headlamp wash wipe developed a mind of its own and ran continually until I finally had enough and pulled the battery after getting home.

looking at the wiring diagram I see that there is a fuse that powers everything before the relay so will be taking that out tonight to hopefully at least isolate the wash wipe system until I can get a better look at it. I'm assuming the relay is toast but I'm struggling to find any other than used via e-bay, which I'm not against using if I have to but with most second hand parts its a risk I'll end up doing it all over again.

other than main dealer does anyone know of a supplier?

believe the part is 61366904550

Cheers

I just looked at JaguarLandRoverClassicParts and they are listing as in stock and available to order.

They seem to have a different set of parts availability to main dealer listing which always strikes me as odd.

Interesting... that diagram implies it's mounted in a fuse box with other relays, but I've seen on other forums / videos that you need to dismantle the left hand end of the dash including the vent & cup holder as the relay is mounted more or less to the bulkhead...more investigation required

incidentally the replay shown in the videos and on eBay are all a brown/orange colour

There is probably also a BMW part for an X5 or something (in the 2002 era) that is basically the same relay but half the price Smile

Below is a photo head on of the 61366904550 part
