Did you let it run for a while to clear any air locks? |

Runs perfectly with maf disconnected, revs as normal and no "Engine Failsafe prog". Reconnect maf and the problem returns along with the "Engine Failsafe prog". |

So after cleaning the Maf, it runs ok if I start it up with it disconnected and now when I plug the Mad back in it continues to run ok. If I then switch the engine off then restart, the fault returns along with the "Engine Failsafe prog". |

After cleaning the Maf again, it now appears to be running fine. Been for a 30 minute drive and there's no issues. Switched it off and back on, starts fine. Just need to wait and see what it starts like from cold. |

I would buy a new Bosch maf from cp4l it was under £100 when I got one - had to clean it every couple of months just got annoying now I don't need to worry. |

Ordered a new Maf from Euro car parts for £86 using discount code. For a Bosch one I didn't think that was too bad. |
