Can't say I'd wait 10 years to change a diesel filter, no matter what the maker said... remember this is the same people who said the gearbox was sealed for life....

It seems that you've been supplied with the filter assembly including sensor rather than just the element. |

I'm not familiar with the TDV8's filter, but some cars now the filter is a complete sealed unit. Like the smaller HDI engines for example.
