So for a start the 20" as soooooo much comfier than the 22"'s but obviously not a blingy but I think the engine just seems a touch more refined.

Liking the infotainment changes, and screen seems so much more responsive to touch. Deffo in the Phone Phonebook it's miles better. But still crap compared to most other cars at this price!!

The car is the same VSE as mine so soft close doors is still there and keyless entry, but the adaptive cruise I just couldn't be without daily now I think. It's less jerky than mine on cruise and seems to have more bars to distance, but deffo not a slap on brakes hard as mine when a car pulls out in front of me.

Not sure about the full glass roof, I like my sunroof but for free I guess it's better than metal but seems stupid I can't open it.

My boot closure is different, seems there is two more buttons and drops the top and bottom lid on opening and closing whereas I only have closing doing both.

Better gauges for "heavy" foot driving on the dash, but still lacks lots more info in front of my eyes I think.

I'm quite liking the complete black inside with white stitching but it' seems to not be on the doors or dash which looks odd!!

Liked the rear view cam when driving, but for what purpose I have no idea!!! lol all smug in my new plug!

NP 362.

Any idea how I tell if it's a 2016.5 car?

Also I doubt it's a 4.4 but also is there an easy way to check? (apart from maybe lifting the lid) lol all smug in my new plug!

The heavy foot avoidance option is quite interesting:

3 x 5 bar LED green lights that change to orange and drop if you've A) hit the gas hard....B) Slammed on gas and revved it hard....and C) slammed on the brakes.

Interesting set of mini dials and actually have made me look a bit more at how I drive.....which is terrible btw!! lol all smug in my new plug!

I think it would be nice if they put more silver , white stitching in with the black leather.

There's no doubt LR's policy of continual development is good. Every time I buy a newer car there's plenty extra things to see but things I like over the 2013/2014VSE are Incontrol Secure and Remote, front seat away (and then return) for when you are lowering the rear seats, proper heated seat buttons, rather than through the menu, TPMS and Eco data info. Some like the gesture tailgate but I'm not so keen. There are of course the subtle differences such as improved fuel economy and lower road tax but these certainly aren't deal breakers. Thumbs Up Oh....just forgot another useful one which is Access mode, which automatically puts the car into access mode when entering or alighting from car.

Do a number plate check on webuyanycar and it'll tell you what it is on the first page but two give aways inside the cabin is if it feels a fair bit more quick or less refined than what you are used to it's the 4.4 2016 SDV8 Autobiography
And several others previously.

Thought it would be when you said it was very refined. The V8 is too in it's own way just not back to back with the V6. The other thing I'd mention is if you do decide to change try a set of 21's. They are prettier (IMHO) and a great compromise between the the other rims in terms of looks and suppleness.

show me which ones you mean Basil......

I might be getting a garage toy anyway so might drop down to the 20" or 21" but it would be a 2018 car facelifted thingy anyway so maybe new wheels by then all smug in my new plug!

These are my personal Favourites. I did have 22's and they look good but are better for those who want a sportier ride and abet speaking to a dealer contact he told me that most of their sales staff preferred the 21's over the 22's for comfort and over the 20's for looks. Thumbs Up

And I'm with you about the 2018 thing. I think I'll miss out the 2017 car and my next one will be a 2018 providing I don't buy the new big Jag 4x4
