Strange things with Doors and Brake warnings

OK, story so far:

Car went in for MOT in early April, failed due to front airbag leaking and n/s headlamp not working. The headlamp has been giving some problems firing up, it usually takes about 5 or 6 turns on and off with the switch before it comes on, so could be igniter/ballast issue.
Anyway, the drivers door lock decide to give up the ghost while the car was in for MOT so a new one was ordered which took about 3 weeks to arrive. During this time the local garage (non-LR but good) kept the car on their premises as there have been a few break-ins and we coulnt lock the car up.

New lock arrived and was fitted but car then had to be booked in at LR dealer to recode the key.

This is where it gets weird!

After recoding the car would not recognise the key (it would sometimes though) and would lock / unlock as it felt necessary, then all the brake warning lights came on even though it had been fitted with new front discs and new brakes shoes all round for the MOT. Also the CD player gave up.

It was in the LR dealer last week to see what the problem is and they still cannot get the car to recognise the key / door locking properly (the key was replaced end of last year)

They reckon what has happened is that because the battery was disconnected during the MOT phase, the car has gone into transport mode, and must be having issues getting out of that mode again.

Could it be the BCU thats thrown a wobbly or would a battery reset cure t?

One other thing. When it does decide to lock using the remote, sometimes (not all the time) after about 10 minutes the hazard lights start flashing!

Any ideas?

Only a stab in the dark, but LCM crops up in my mind for some reason. Maybe check for damp etc

Thanks. Will get that checked. Sounds like it could be that. We had a leak last year which turned out to be a blocked sunroof drain on the drivers side so I wonder if that unit has got damp inside?
