Called into a local LR dealer this week close to my workplace in Reading. I haven't historically used them but called in as they have done a lot of building work on site in the last year and I thought I would take a look.
It's very much a joint Jaguar and LR format which is fine by me.
The showroom looked stunning. Miles ahead of where it had been before.
I was more interested however in the aftersales / service side of the facility. It's not fully up to speed yet capacity wise : still new building on site hence a 6-week booking in time (wow). When I do get to drop my car off, there is an undercover drive-through type facility to arrive at where I'm promised I'll be greeted. Will be interesting to experience...
I was told that the franchise had to sign up to JLR's requirements far more than in the past.
Interesting if this is the way everything is moving forward. The big 'but' in this for me though is whether we will see higher standards of customer care. I hope they prove this to be the case! 2016 SDV8 AB
