please don't shoot me down with this question!!

I have just bought a 2004 TD6. I am very happy with it, and I like the TD6 engine.

The road tax here in Luxembourg is nearly €700 per year for this car, and I have been reading that it is also banned from many towns in Germany because of the NOx levels.

I also have a TD5 Discovery 2, and I know that it is possible to have a DPF filter retrofitted to the TD5 engine (It was never an option from LR!!) that would give it Yellow classification in Germany, and consequently it wouldn't be banned from city centers.

Is this type of retrofit possible for the TD6?

I have read that the BMW X5 (that had the same engine) can have a DPF, so does that mean that the TD6 can also?
