Depends on how deep the scratches are but have you tried something like t-cut. It works a treat on very fine scratches. |

Vorbis, if you read this thread re wscreen scratches thread you'll see it culminates in my posting about proper windscreen scratch products I bought last year along with the results. It's a time consuming job but good results can be achieved.

Jeweller's Rouge is made of Iron Oxide and not particularly abrasive. You'd be there forever. Much better to use any of the Cerium Oxide based compounds which are made specifiaclly for glass polishing.

OK then, hypothetically, since a scratched windscreen can be an MOT failure would you claim then? If a screen fails the MOT then it can be thought of as "failed" in its function, i.e. to keep wind & rain out whilst allowing you to see through it. Same as a crack really. I know I would claim. They're quick enough to take my money. |
