Cermaic Pads on standard discs

Time to replace my pads and have been using green-stuff on my 2007 TDV8. I'm satisfied with their performance but hoping to further cut dust and i was considering redstuff/ceramic.

Ive done some research cant cant find the answers im looking for.

I'm assuming they are a harder pad so do ceramic pads wear the disc more than standard pads.
I have standard discs? and are there any other drawbacks.

I think they are high temperature pads - fine on a race track, but awful on the road. Noisy and don't work very well until hot.

Sounds positive, anyone know what type of life span to expect compared to standard pads?
and also if they are harder on the discs? 2015 AB 5.0 Supercharged

Hammer mate, did you find a part number for the redstuff pads?

I'm also considering these. 2007 3.6 TDV8

Strange. Mikey confirms in the other post that supercharged and TDV8 are same calipers so I’m not sure why they disagree.

Probably worth emailing the manufacturer directly.

For what it’s worth. I’m still gonna get them, when these bendix ones wear out 2007 3.6 TDV8

Hi, a year ago I replaced both the pads and disks (Brembo) on our 07 TDV8. Bought these EBC red stuff front and rear: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111932587186?eu...Tags=bu=bu
Works absolutely fantastic! Very little dust, and really good breaking performance. Once in a while there is a low whining noise when breaking, but nothing that irritates. EBC redstuff: recommended!

I’ve been looking on EBC direct and they do yellow stuff for the Range Rover.

I had these on my last car which was primarily a road car. I wouldn’t hesitate to get these again.

I was warned these wouldn’t be good when cold but I didn’t have any issues. I felt they braked fine but just lacked any feel when they were cold. When I say cold I’m talking about 2/3 times of using the brakes at a normal rate, nothing heavy, slowing for a roundabout, junction, etc.

Once they were warmed they were excellent. No fade and very little brake dust.
