Oil change on TD6 - worth flushing?

Due an oil change on our TD6 and it only does lots of short trips (6 miles each way to work and back, then every 2 weeks a 60 mile round trip), is there anything else to do when doing the oil change like flushing it, or any additive? Its done 110k miles

Thanks in advance

Hi
Don't do it!!

Our previous car was a Disco 2 V8 , after I bought it decided to do an engine oil flush - (thought I was being kind) a couple of months later on the m42 oil light came on , turned off quickly but the damage was done. - lost the big ends , crank needed a regrind etc... about a 3k bill if I remember!

What had happened was that all the baked on oil/carbon which had been removed with the flushing oil and had collected in the sump (despite two oil changes to remove the flush) this in turn had got sucked up by the oil strainer which became blocked. (no oil pressure)

So no more oil flushes for me lol !!

ps edit - just added a photo of the sump!!
