My MOT retest

Hello Everyone, so my RR failed it's MOT. So I have a few jobs to tackle.

My confusion is regarding the parts which require replacing. I've attached the Fail sheet. What are the part numbers for the bushings which failed? I always find it hard to understand the MOT failure sheets... Laughing

I've received advice from another member of this forum regarding the headlamp washers, likewise I've managed to read up on how to adjust the electronic handbrake. So, the bushes and tidying up the brake lines are the main jobs.

Thank in advance for your input. Thumbs Up

What does brake pipes not clean mean!!! I assume they are corroded! Easy enough to replace with copper or cuprinicol and joe90 did a great thread on this!! Or it could be the brake lines that connect the pipes to the caliper but the pipes normally corrode as the standard ones are steel! Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

I'm really sure do the brake lines need replacing or not. I will have to wait and see, sometimes a good clean is all that is required.... Laughing

Regarding the bushes, any feedback on which ones people reckon they are. I'd like to order all the parts for the mechanic.
As with work, I just don't have the time to do it myself...

Brake pipes not sufficiently clean ?? Shocked Shocked Mine are covered in Dinitrol to prevent corrosion. Not sure what your tester would make of that.

Handbrake is simple enough. Fuel leak should be relatively simple to find and fix. Ball joints can be easy but if rusted in you might do better to buy the complete arms. The rubber bushes I found simple enough but again, it can be easier to buy the whole arm with new bushes. The key to an easy life with suspension matters is a good trolley jack & axle stands (or access to a ramp), some good hammers, a decent ball joint splitter and occasionally a strong blowlamp.

Picky sod pulling you up on headlamp washers though. I've never even seen them test mine, especially the Skoda. They haven't worked since I bought the car in Jan 14 and it's never failed so far. The worst I've had was an advisory for a misty shock absorber so it clearly wasn't a series of drive-by MOTs.
