United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Carpathian Grey
Sport Mode??

Morning, i'm after some confirmation as to what selecting the S option on the gearbox actually changes in the car?

In previous cars it's fairly obvious & prominent, such as altering the throttle mapping, firming up the suspension & steering & holding onto gears longer as well as quicker shifts, but i'm damned if i can work out what this does in the MY17 FFRR??

I can set an option in the driver settings that the paddles only become active when S is selected, however this can be set to either gearbox mode so isn't really a feature connected to S.

Thanks in advance. Paul

Seems to drop a cog sometimes & holds onto them longer.

I often find that it's smoother away from small roundabouts in sport mode as it's in the right gear.

Not noticed any steering or suspension difference though.

I thought mine was keener to drop down for throttle inputs and def dropped a lower gear when it activates. Would be nice if it allowed X time of overboost
