Morning all,
Noticed a line of grease around the nearside wheel arch lining this morning, so guessing the CV boot has split.
Is it an easy enough job to do? I'll be getting my local garage to replace it anyway, but if there are any do's or don'ts I'd rather be forewarned.
Also, is it worth doing both fronts at the same time?

Simple and cheap job...
But. Getting the hub off of the CV joint will be a challenge. Did one of mine recently after damaging the boot myself swapping the strut assembly.
Get the other checked while it's in but not really necessary to swap as a pair. Current: Supercharged 06 FFRR in Java Black

It uses a cable tie to secure the boot I did away with this and used a clip after two failures with the tie might be worth doing

Took the FF in yesterday morning, got a call after they'd got it on the ramps and the CV boots are fine. Looks like I've driven over something like a grease tube at some point, and it's sprayed the underneath of the car!!! Oh well, it'll stop it rusting.

They did, however, find a worn linkage that was causing a 'knock' when going over low speed rough ground, so that's getting changed.
