I'm interested but I've replied to another tool for sale on another thread and pm'd the seller but he seems to have dropped off the radar at the moment.

I'd prefer to be fair and give the other seller a chance to reply before committing to this one, just wanted to let you know I'm at least interested, thanks.

BTW, when you say it can be plugged into a laptop, is that just for updates or can the tool be used through the laptop as opposed to just the instrument display?

It can be plugged into the car via a laptop for readings/ operation via the laptop as opposed to using the dash screen and steering controls. However, using the dash screen and steering controls is simple and perfectly adequate.

If using a laptop, the controller software is installed in conjunction with the updater software (PC only) and will work on V3.0 and up. It can be found here :
Start->All Programs->GAP Diagnostic->IIDContol

Instructions on how to use it should be included in the latest version of the user manual.
