Piano black or not...

So following on from the recent posts on refurbing piano black interior panels.

My pre-facelift FF is giverney green, with ivory leather and aspen carpets and doorcards, and dark walnut wood.

To be fair it's mint condition. However I just don't like the dark walnut. I've been half tempted to find some good condition cherry panels; controversial I know but I like cherry Smile

But now wondering how piano black would look in that colour interior... I have the chance to bag the piano black panels.

Has anyone got any photos of piano black in an ivory/aspen interior? 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped Smile

My RR had cherry and was painted piano black the day before I saw the car. I would have preferred it as it was.

I keep looking for cherry, but also like the walnut, should you change your's and purchase replacement wood let me know, maybe interested (genuinely)

I'd offer what is on my car as a swap but alas the quality isn't good enough Embarassed Regards

Well after looking at the poorly painted piano black wood trim, I today started to remove the paint.

I have started to remove the black painted wood and attacked it with ........

600 wet and dry, then 2000 wet and dry, with soapy water, then polished the newly re-emerged cherry wood with Farecla G3 with water.

Really please with the result, it was great to see the Cherry wood reappear Very Happy so far I completed the door trims, and centre console trims, 6 down only only 8 more pieces to remove the paint!! Cool

Looking forward to getting her back to how she left the factory, wish I'd done it two years ago Smile Regards

I finished mine today....

Before...

After....

Really pleased with it. Certainly makes the interior feel more modern. I did the nav surround and would of liked to have done the nav fascia but I think my only option is to replace the entire unit...

I have used search, but didn't find a suitable thread, can anyone tell me how to access the two small panels each side of the Audio/sat nav unit???? Help Confused

Do I need to remove the dash top / glovebox??

I've sorted all the other sections ad currently have the dash end vents removed.....

Thanks in advance Wink Regards
