Insurance for UK FFRR owned by a NON UK resident

Hi all, sorry that I have been very quiet for such a long time now. Moving country (Malaysia to New Zealand) and working offshore in Argentina are keeping me very busy.

Anyway, my insurance for the FFRR is up again but I'm having some trouble finding an insurance company in the UK that will insure my FFRR. All the ones I have found (but one) insist that I need to be a UK resident, which I'm not. I'm not even an EU resident (I'm a New Zealand Permanent Resident).

Who knows of an insurance company that does cover my lovely FFRR ??

Kind regards,

Hi Stan,

Thank you for that.

Keith Micheals came back with almost 1200 GBP per annum and I'm still waiting for A-plan to respond. I have been looking around a lot but still can't find any others. Compared to the lowest quote based on my very limited use of the FFRR, 550 per annum, it is quite expensive to go to KM. SWMBO is pushing me to sell the FFRR but I am hoping that the minor revival of the oil and gas industry (or signs of revival) will get me more work, i.e. justify shipping the FFRR to NZ !!!

Cheers,
