I luckily just had enough room on mine. I bought the Thule Wingbars and the clamps which grip into the door recess, with a Thule 742 ski rack - which fits 4 snowboards (2 on 2). With no spacers (non were provided in my new kit either) I had enough room that the bindings were clear of the roof. Benefit of having no sportsbars fitted I guess! |

Looking at it it would clear with the Thule bars as they have more clearance, I could fabricate some spacers for it but I reckon it will be noisy as hell if I do, so will just put the skis in individually. Fortunately I'm only taking one pair.

Might as well start training the kids - no roof bars for an L405 unless you have the permanent rails fitted.
