Yes but the Italians can show them a thing or two..................... they cheated with the ice tyres though and note the chatty galvanised recovery shackle in the RHS intake, just in case a front end tow out is needed

That looked like sheet ice in ruts - VERY DIFFICULT.

They all just have their foot on the brake with their wheels locked - if after 10 feet of sliding you have not slowed down it's time to try something else!

Personally I would have gone for some throttle to get my wheels into the soft slush in the middle where the snow is less likely to be compacted so you can reach tarmac underneith or at least build up enough of a wedge in front of the wheels.

Then maybe at least I would have gone down the hill sideways in style!

This makes me want to get a hose-pipe out, note the P38 that drives past drama-free:
