I was sorting out my boot yesterday and noticed that i do not have a wheel lift kit - i have a full sized spare (20" wheels) and can see the jack located at the rear of the wheel well, but no lifting kit. I also dont have a prop for the wheel well cover.

I thought these things were standard (well standard if you opted for the full-sized spare) - and the original build list for my car had the full sized spare.

Anyone know if these things are available as an "add-on"?

I'm fairly tall and have a good upper body strength, but i have struggled to try lifting the wheel out unaided. They are mighty things! Current

They are available as an add on. There are pre-drilled and tapped holes to accept them. Dan at Duckworths can supply. John

The L405 has a different system - it’s kind of a hoist that attaches to the upper roof

I think it’s because of the powered tailgate in the L405, because the L322 system seems much better IMHO

The new version is effectively a pulley set using rings and webbing tape.
Hooks on the top of the boot opening.
Works well.

I haven't checked a L322, but basically the hook hoes in the top of the boot opening.
The other end goes into the wheel, then just pull on the webbing.
Sounds complex but actually All quite simple.
You do have to remove the boot base though.

I struggled to remove the wheel from the boot.
It is reasonably heavy but very awkward.
My wife simply couldn't do it.
